Beary Good Olympics!

Friends of CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Geauga County presents its fifth annual “A Beary Good Olympics” family event on March 1, 2008 at the Bertram Inn and Conference Center in Aurora .
Families will enjoy a morning fun “Olympic” events while raising funds to help abused and neglected children of Geauga County . Friends of CASA hopes to raise $10,000 from this event, which will support efforts on behalf of abused and neglected kids in the community.
“This event is about children helping other children – and having fun doing it!” says co-chair Meg Nachtwey. “This year's Olympic theme not only celebrates the upcoming Bejing Olympics, but also focuses on kids' health and fitness.”
Children will enjoy celebrating “A Beary Good Olympics” with loads of Olympic style games and entertainment including the Pocket Lady, face painting and athletic displays from area athletes. Tickets also include a continental breakfast, the opportunity to participate in an auction and raffle for unique items and packages, an unbelievable goody bag, and Gold Medals for all at the Closing Ceremony!

The event benefits CASA for Kids of Geauga County, an organization that provides advocacy for abused and neglected children of Geauga County . CASA's trained volunteers work as “court appointed special advocates” to represent the best interests of children in courts. Friends of CASA is a nonprofit organization supporting CASA volunteers and activities. It also works to increase public awareness of child abuse and neglect in our community.
